Summary

This survey was carried out as a continuation of the "Survey related to the composition and related remains of the Tamagawa waterways network" in fiscal 2015 and 2016.

First, we analyzed the historical development of Tamagawa waterways network, and changes in consciousness toward Tamagawa waterways from literature, etc.

Next, we investigated the existing remains in the area in cooperation with various citizen groups working around Tamagawa waterways network.

Based on the results, 100 remains were selected.

As a result, it aimed at sharing the vast spread of Tamagawa waterways network.

It is also a basic feasibility survey of field museum in the relevant area of Tamagawa waterways network.

The remains survey areas were divided from the Hamura Intake Water Weir, via the Yotsuya-okido and Yotsuya-mitsuke sections, to the outer moat and the Nihonbashi River, and the total was divided into 17 water systems.

Thirty-eight groups shared the area and conducted a survey.

240 related remains were listed, and together with the point of the important remains of the citizens' group's self-election, 7 experts in each research field exchanged opinions and finally 100 remains were selected.
