Research Summary |
In Tokyo, Endo's pipistrelle Pipistrellus endoi, which is listed as vulnerable species on the Red Data Book 2014 of Ministry of the Environment, was first recorded in 1997. We did two kinds of survey, because it is inferred that Endo's pipistrelle is moving seasonally by the subsequent study in Tokyo. One method is a capture survey for elucidate their seasonal distribution. We tried to obtain for accurate echolocation calls analysis of the captured individuals. One more method is a seasonally route census by car for grasping the seasonal distribution by echolocation calls analysis. The research area was Okutama Mountains in Tokyo and Tama river source region in Yamanashi prefecture. |
