Research Summary |
Nowadays, pathogenic bacteria acquired multi antibiotic-resistance were spread in the world. The damages against human health were also reported in Japan. Above all, the people in the world have had the fear with the appearance of New Delhi meta1loβ-lactamase(NDM-1) producing bacteria which had the resistant activities against most antibiotics. In this study, the authors investigated on the inhabit of super multi-antibiotics resistant bacteria containing pathogenic ones in The Tamagawa-river in order to secure city life around the shores of the river. There found to be the bacitracin-, ampicillin-, and sulfamethoxazole- resistant bacteria in the surface waters. And the resistant bacteria against 2 kinds of antibiotics were found to be most in the downstream, against 3 kinds of them were to be most in middlestream, and against 5-8 kinds of them were to be most in the upstream. Many resistants against 8 kinds of antibiotics were Bacteroidetes, and those against 2-3 kinds of them were Firmicutes. Total 42 strains of meta1loβ-lactamase(MBL) producing bacteria were isolated. It was found the pathogenic ones infected opportunely with the gene of IMP-1 existed among them. Therefore, if humans infected with these bacteria and fell ill, they would have no recovery by the antibiotics. Continual monitoring about the appearance of NDM-1 producing bacteria seemed to be necessary. |
